The Calling is an immersive theater experience from the heart of underground Brooklyn created and produced by the Flambeaux Fire team. It harnesses the evocative power of ritual, the appeal of pop, and the epic nature of the heroes’ quest in a saga-story set in an alternate reality where fire does not burn. Scripted into a interlocked series of stories, it uses the best and most daring that New York offers in independent fire performance art and features original music written by the cast. Since 2012, it has been performed episodically in Brooklyn warehouses on the other side of the tracks. Now it reaches its conclusion with the finale episode The Calling 5 – with a civil war in the fire world erupting just as harmonic convergence with the flames is finally reached!
